Activities

At Vane Hill Care Home, we believe that meaningful daily activities are an important part of supporting wellbeing, confidence and independence. Our activities programme is varied and flexible, with opportunities for residents to take part in hobbies, social activities and everyday tasks that reflect their interests and abilities. From cooking and gardening to creative arts, reading and social games, there is something to suit different moods, preferences and energy levels. Activities are planned to create enjoyment, routine and a sense of purpose, while helping residents stay active and engaged in daily life.

Engaging and Therapeutic

For people living with alcohol related brain damage, purposeful activities can provide valuable opportunities to rebuild confidence, maintain life skills and strengthen social connections. Residents are encouraged to take part in ways that feel comfortable and meaningful to them, whether helping in the kitchen, supporting tasks in the laundry, spending time in the garden or joining group activities with others.

Our skilled team understands the importance of balancing encouragement with respect for individual choice and ability. Through both group and one-to-one activities, we support residents to develop independence, enjoy positive experiences and feel a sense of achievement in everyday life.
