Dining

At Vane Hill Care Home, mealtimes are an important part of daily life, offering comfort, routine and opportunities for connection. Residents can enjoy home-cooked meals in one of our two welcoming dining rooms, where the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and inclusive. Meals are prepared with care using fresh, seasonal ingredients whenever possible, including produce grown in our own allotments. We aim to create a dining experience that feels familiar and enjoyable, while supporting individual preferences and nutritional needs.

More Than Just A Meal

For people living with ARBD, maintaining everyday routines and life skills can play an important role in wellbeing and independence. Residents are encouraged to take part in meal preparation if they wish, helping them stay involved in meaningful daily activities and reconnect with familiar tasks. Whether helping to prepare ingredients, setting tables or choosing meals, residents are supported in ways that feel comfortable and achievable for them.

Our team takes time to understand individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring every person feels respected, supported and included during mealtimes.

Connecting Through Food

Dining at Vane Hill is about much more than food. Shared meals help residents build friendships, enjoy conversation and feel part of the wider community within the home.

Alongside our communal lounges, therapeutic activities, private gardens, games room and minibus service, the dining spaces contribute to a warm and welcoming environment where residents can feel settled and connected. Together with comfortable bedrooms and personalised support, these shared experiences help create a positive atmosphere where people can live with dignity, purpose and a sense of belonging.
